Again thank you so much for praying for my trip to New York! I really felt calm on the plane and had a safe wonderful time there with my sister.
We did some shopping, eating out and also just relaxed and enjoyed each others company as well as the incredible view from our condo. This is the bedroom I had for the week.
That is the Hudson river out the window just down from where the plane crashed into the water a couple of weeks ago.
This is the main living area.
and the kitchen area.
As you can tell it was not hard to unwind in such a lovely setting.
Now for reality!!!
This is what I came home to. The worse ice storm in Arkansas history!
Like the rest of our town we have begun a very long slow clean up process.
It is hard to believe this is the same town I left.

After a warm weekend we made a big dent in the clean up but there are still people around us without electricity.
Despite the huge task ahead we have much to be thankful for. I know many of you have been through your own share of weather related destruction and you can totally relate to our mess plus more.
And it also dawned on me that this city over came one of the worse tragedies on US soil......
and they have picked up the pieces very well.
I think we will make it just fine!
