Chicks in less than a week I will be half of a century old! There.... I finally got it off my chest. It is a funny thing being half of a hundred. You think it will never happened to you and you blink and there you are!
But Chicks I have to say I am as excited as I can be about the next half of my life....the next 50.... Lord willing of course! And you know I am sharing my birthday year with a really famous chick....
She was 50 last month. I had no idea Barbi was that old young. I may not be as well preserved as her but I am going to celebrate in a BIG way. Hubbie is taking me away to a place I have always dreamed of going......
So I will be busy packing, getting my house sitters lined up, shopping for just the right things I will need and praying about getting on one of these again....
And if you don't mind I am taking you with me via internet. Where??? That's a surprise;)
Oh my how wonderful!! I hope it's somewhere hot and sunny with beautiful smelling flowers :)
Have an absolutely fabulous birthday!!!!!

What fun! I am celebrating the big "37" (it seems big to me) in less than a week. I can't wait to hear where you're going. I think the family is going to take me to the aquarium on my b'day.
Have a wonderful time!

I'm looking forward to celebrating with you and seeing where you are going!! Just to let you know, it's not so bad being 50. I'll be 52 this summer and I kinda like it. I mean, really, what's the alternative? Death? Now, while I really want to go to heaven, there's a few things here I still hope to do. And besides there are little perks that go along with that. Sometimes you get senior prices at restaurants, etc. So go out an celebrate & I hope the next 50 are as good as the first 50!!!!!!

Oh boy! I can hardly wait to see where we, uhm, you are going!
Happy half century year and btw, you also share it with one handsome guy. Steve turns 50 this year also. in about 2 weeks and 4 days.

Yippee... a trip! I'm excited to see where you're taking us.
50's not bad - it's getting to be younger than I thought it would be. Guess that's what happens when you're in your mid-40's! *snort*
Blessings!

Glad to hear you are settled with it. I tell myself I have a problem with getting old, but each year seems to be sweeter than the next and I truly find contentment in each year life brings. I trust I will be like you on my 50th too...I feel encouraged hearing you talk about it so positively.
Thanks for the invite to come along with with you on your celebration. Airplanes don't bother me at all, so I will hold your hand.
This is how I think of it: 1) airplanes bring us to amazing places that would not be feasible to get to by any other means and 2) even the possibility of death is not bad because in almost all cases it is sudden, quick and complete. No one is left with a bad injury to live with.
Not that I see that typed out, it maybe seems a bit twisted, but it works for me! Have fun!

Barbie can't hold a candle to you girl! OK...I won't say a word about WHERE you are going. However, I told Sissy and she wants to hide in your suitcase! (will it hold both of us AND all your stuff???)
I found a little something for you in Amish country that I will send to you after you get home.
