Now that we are empty nest I don't cook at all nearly as much as I use to.
But guess who is here visiting Grammie this week? You guessed it "Mr. Perfect"
Anyway, I have been doing lots of cooking with my daughter and her family here and I made a dessert one night that was a BIG hit! In fact several unnamed people fought discussed who would get the last two pieces.
Before I give it to you I have to say it is quick, it is easy, only 4 ingredients, no baking required, it is cold, & you will dream about it!
OK, here it goes....
Heath Bar Ice Cream Delight
12 ice cream sandwiches
1 (160z.) carton Cool Whip
Fudge topping
1 bag Heath bar toffee & chocolate topping (on bakers aisle)
Lay 6 ice cream sandwiches in 2 rows of three down the middle of a 9x13 inch glass baking dish. Cover with half of the Cool Whip. Heat fudge topping and pour over Cool Whip. Place 6 more ice cream sandwiches on top of fudge. Cover with remaining Cool Whip and sprinkle with Heath bar topping. Freeze for several hours. Set out 15 minutes prior to serving.
I didn't set it out 15 minutes before serving....we couldn't wait that long!!
Sweet Dreams......
Well, that dessert looks absolutely delicious.
But what I'm really drooling over is that adorable baby! Cuteness personified. How old is he?

Oooo...that sounds good. I suppose I can look at it as an exercise in sharing too. Because I won't want to. So, if I make it and share it, then I am working on becoming the kind of person God wants me to be. And surely that means there's less calories. (because there has to be some kind of reward for doing the right thing.)
blessings!

Yum. I made a version of this a long time ago and had forgotten about it. Thanks for the reminder. I'm going to make it next week!!! And then go on a serious diet.
