This past weekend's celebration was an absolute blast! I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about reconnecting with women I had not seen since my college days but it did not take long to rekindle the bond we had a million years ago.
It made me realize all over again the importance of girlfriends in my life. Women you can laugh & cry with, pray for and just have fun with!
We started out on Friday Night at a restaurant in town getting reacquainted. Within moments the room was buzzing with excitement.
It didn't take us long to pick up where we had left off centuries ago....
On Saturday we ate lunch and then went shopping..
It is amazing what you will buy with your girlfriends all saying....... Yes, Yes, get it, get it!
After a short little power nap and a change of clothes everyone headed to my house on Saturday Night. I had a heart shaped wreath made out of fresh carnations hanging on the front door to greet them.

Inside I had several fresh arrangements scattered around the house. The dinning room center piece was a tight mound of color in pink and red.
This topiary of roses was on the coffee table in the living room.
A pot of tulips welcomed everyone in the sun room...
and this fresh cut bouquet livened up the den.
I lined the buffet in my dinning room with various candles to give the room a warm glow.
Moss balls in urn's flanked each side of the candle trey.
This french dessert shelf held all kind of tempting desserts.
With food on the table it was time for the party to begin!
We dug through scrap books....
Showed off T-shirts from days in the past........WAY past!

Caught up on each others lives....
Took lots and lots of pictures with each other...
Brought out the old dance moves...
and gave lots and lots of hugs.
I am sure it won't surprise you to hear that we have decided this will be an annual event.
It was just too much fun to wait another million years! ;)
