The views you have are just stunning!!!! The ice storm hit your area really hard...we have been hit also but not as heavy. No school for the past two days. Just enjoy where you are because you can't help in any way back at your home. I will pray that your electricity gets back on soon. We have had a bad storm like that and went without electricity for 5 days...that was a nightmare!

Nicole@The Graves' House

Hey Jules!
I was just wondering this afternoon how your trip was and here you are! So sorry that it is such a mess back home but glad your hubby is safe! I'll pray for a safe return flight and that things at home are quickly restored! Take care!

Terry

The pictures of the condo and view are awesome, and the picture of home -- oh my! I understand why you are torn about wanting to be there. I'll keep praying for safety for both you and your hubby.

sara Bowyer

wow! I had no idea it was that bad up at your house. We had ice here in LR, but nothing like that!!! Praying for your hubby! And praying you can enjoy the last few days with your sister.

Julie

We are just north of you and only got sleet so no power outages and broken limbs this time. We were out for 13 days in Jan 2007 and I am so glad not to lie awake and listen to the limbs breaking and falling and worry about where they are landing.

Cathy

So glad to hear you are having a great trip. The views from you condo are awesome! So sorry your husband is in such bad weather and no electric. Wow! But you know God is watching over him. Take care.

Julie

The worst part about our ice storm was when everything began to thaw and we discovered the damage to our roof and the ceiling damage and floor damage. I wish I would have taken pictures of the beautiful things like sweet gum balls coated with an inch of ice but we were too concerned with keeping people safe and checking on elderly neighbors and relatives and running rescue missions for friends who could not get out.

Yvette Adams

Hey Jules,
Glad you are having a good time in NY. Looks like you have an incredible view from your condo! I'll keep you, your sister and your hubby in my prayers! Also, praying that Angie's treatment will go well and she can return to her family soon!

Wow, what a view y'all have...much better than Hubbys view...ouch...not good.
Try really hard to enjoy your last day. I will be praying for Angie, electricity for Hubs, and fun and an easy flight home for you...

Angie

Your condo has amazing views!! I can't believe all the ice at your house, your poor husband!!
Have a wonderful time!

Lisa@take90west

You are living the life there in NYC!That condo looks fabulous.

I'm so sorry for your poor husband. The pictures from the storm are just devastating.

Monica

I can understand how you would feel torn, yet trying to enjoy the precious time you have with your sister!

The Inept Aspirant

It's good that you are not home right now, trust me. Men are just built better to handle that stuff. Hopefully by the time you get home it will be back to normal. We had five days with no power from the ice storm in December and it was incredibly stressful. Hope you are enjoying your time with your sister.

The Inept Aspirant

I think it's a good thing you are away visiting your sister. Men are better able to handle this stuff. We had five days with no power in Dec. from an ice storm and it was incredibly stressful. Hopefully by the time you come home the power will be back on.

The Inept Aspirant

okay, I commented twice because the first one didn't show up...might as well make it three!

duchess

Glad you're having a good time - I'm sure he has everything under control.
Don't worry (you did leave him plenty of food - right?)

Dana Jones

oh Jules, I am glad you have a nice place to stay and the company of your sister.

NWA is at the top of my prayerlist this week.

Lynette

So sorry to hear of the Ice Storm at your hometown. Your pictures of NY are amazing...what a beautiful skyline.

Debra

I am so glad you got there safely, and even more that you enjoyed your plane ride! Praise God! Now, I know I should be worried about your trees, but I am worried about your pets without electricity! Praying for it to come back on soon.

Shaunta

So glad to hear that you had a safe trip up and that you are having fun with your sister! Praying for your hubby and that things will thaw out and get better soon!

Shannon

Jen@OurDailyBigTop

I've been thinking about you. After seeing Queen B's pictures, I wondered how your neck of the woods was doing. I'm glad you're enjoying your visit but I bet you're anxious to get home.

karen

Girl, I can sympathize. It's just as bad here. My heart just aches at the loss. However, they are things. Certainly replaceable. More memory makers. (can you tell I'm trying to find the silver lining?) Stay safe and enjoy. Praying for you and for your family...

Ms.Tee

Hi Jules - I'm sorry to hear about the ice storm, I pray everything's ok.
Your trip to NY looks wonderful & like so much fun. :) Hugs
